Jeandre Van Der MerweFamily friendly resort- very well maintained runs, great variety, surprisingly quiet when we went in January. Beautiful. Staff seem to be enjoying it there too and they have very good instructors, and even off peak lesson deals well worth researching. Affordable lift tickets - especially when booked ahead.
Craig CherletWhat can I say. 25 cm the night before we arrived. It was amazing. Sun peaks is a hidden gem of a resort. We had ski in ski out accommodations, a hot tub to relax and ski runs that are virtually empty. So much terrain to play on and just not enough time in 3 days to see it all.
Jamie HoskinsAmazing ski hill. Really long runs and great terrain. Fine for all skills levels. Amazing snow this year so every trip was worth it. The village is a little bit lame, though, and would probably get boring after a day or two of staying there. Not many good restaurant options for resort tourists.
Brooke LaceyHands down my favourite ski resort. Not nearly as busy or expensive as Whistler. Tons of great runs. If you steer clear from main green runs you can find really quiet areas with low traffic.
Brandon WongWonderful ski resort! The ski area is huge, there are multiple lifts and mountains. The hotels/chalets are nice. Great skiing and a great stay!
Chace JosephGreat family resort or great if you are a park shredder. Even on busy days you will rarely wait in a line with multiple high-speed lifts that all have great terrain for every level of rider.

When our friends from far off Sydney, Australia, stopped in town for a few days during their trans-continental travels, it wasn’t hard to think of a more uniquely Canadian experience to offer them than ice fishing.
Vacation planning. For some it’s as exciting as 40 cm of fresh powder; for others, it’s an arduous slog of online researching, scouring reviews and price matching. We recently spoke to Jade Broadus, a well-traveled Los Angeles mother, competent skier, try-anything-oncer, and recent first timer to Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia’s Interior.
