This museum is really interesting. There is so much history and so many amazing people that have contributed toward the development of the Yukon and you can see how they did it and the machines they used. I liked the big road train outside, it must have been amazing to see it operating back in the day. The displays are well done and the machines are well restored, a credit to the museum. I would like to see it again one day. Souvenirs for sale there.

The is a wonderful museum. Truly a journey through time. The staff are incredible. There was one staffer named Janna who showed me around and was full of fascinating info on each piece in the museum. If you like all things motorized this is the place to be. I was like a kid in a candy store.

Description

If you love anything about automotive, history, or airplanes, you can spend HOURS in this place looking and reading about everyone. Amazing history and the artifacts have been lovingly cared for. The staff are super friendly as well. A must see for a traveller or a local to keep Yukon History alive.

So here’s the thing: Someone says ‘transportation museum’ and one would generally respond with a yawn, and then fake having to go to the bathroom right?… WRONG!!! Go there. take the kids… great little spot especially as you are heading out on a flight…

As a local Yukoner, this museum has become one of the go-to places that I bring friends and family who come to visit! It covers so much of the Yukon’s history and in an engaging and dynamic way. There are always new exhibits and projects going on so it’s always interesting for returning visitors…
