The RM has decided to let Road Data Services look after the paperwork of permits. If the RM of Britannia decides it needs to ban a road, we will ban particular roads as needed, and let Road Data Services know so that they can pass that information along. We will continue to send these mass emails when road conditions need special attention.
The Municipality is selling reject sand or screenings from the Priest Pit to our ratepayers at a cost of $3.50 per yard, plus mileage at a rate of $1.50 per cubic yard per loaded mile in a tandem truck with a minimum of 12 yards per load, and $1.00 per cubic yard per loaded mile in a semi-truck with a minimum 24 yards per load effective immediately. Delivery of sand will be done at the discretion of the Foreman and on the availability of staff based on the priorities for labor at that time. Deliveries may not be made until the ratepayer signs a waiver releasing the municipality from liability, and prepays for the sand.
Please note that effective December 1, 2016, the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Association has changed its rules regarding liquor permits for public events. Although the Hillmond Arena is operated by a group of volunteers, the title to the property is in the name of the Municipality. The new rules make the R.M responsible for issuing approvals on liquor permits for certain functions due to this name on title. A copy of the detailed rules are attached.
No less than 30 days prior to the event. We apologize for this new inconvenience, but we are obliged to follow provincial regulations in order to keep the liability of ratepayers and our Hillmond volunteer group minimized. http://hillmondreddenarena.com/
