j mckI have only been here once. Pretty standard food for a small restaurant. The decor is pretty dated and the service was rather slow. The food was ok. I have not returned to see if my experience would be different the second time around.
Ian MatteyGreat eats, particularly for Sunday morning breakie with friends....but everyone knows how good it is, so you need to beat the church crowd if you want to avoid a wait.

Great place for diners with differing food preferences. The enormous list of sides, from which you get to choose three, makes this place a perfect place when dining with a mix of ages and tastes, from the health conscious diner, to the meat and potatoes guy, this place has a selection for everyone.
Pleasant surprise, a diamond in the rough. I have been here a few times now and I have to say that I am always pleasantly surprised by it. It’s so unexpected that this small family restaurant is as good as it is because from the looks of it you just wouldn’t think that it could be better than some of the chain family restaurants in the city. The portions are always huge, they use real ingredients that don’t appear to be processed. When you order a chicken sandwich they practically put an entire chicken breast in there.
The boss and I were running errands and at one of the stops he asked the receptionist if there was a breakfast spot close by. She suggested the Southdale Restaurant across the street. Turned out to be the best breakfast special we’ve ever had. the usual fare: eggs (over easy), bacon (not over fried, but not sloppy), pan fires (seasoned just right) and toast (not burnt). BUT, prepared to perfection and not greasy at all. Endless cup of coffee and a very pleasant server completed the eye-opener. We.re thinking this may be a regular breaky spot in the future. Great eats and under $10.00 each.
