David E. FowlerTerrific backyard tea (on the Gorge) and heritage house tour experience. The tour was terrific. Sure glad that there there are places like this to visit. Be sure to call 48 hours early if you want gluten-free options.

A Google UserPoint Ellice House is the Best Kept Secret of Victoria. Any sunny or warm day, give yourself a treat. Take the Inner Harbor "Gorge Ferry" and tell the driver to let you off at Point Ellise house. Walk the short walk up into the garden lawn, back to the office and pay for a Tea and the Tour. A lot less costly than just about any place in the city, its the best bargain in High Teas. As you sit in wicker chairs, its brought to you by Victorian costumed servers. Sitting under the tent or the trees, you are in a parklike setting. I have had tea in most of the places in Victoria. This is probably the best for charm and price. You can tour the historic house, the garden and then have tea. Be sure to play a set of Crouquet while you are there . Quiet, and restful, A "Step Back" in time. One of my favorite spots in the city.
