It is a small gallery, tucked away from main foot traffic areas. I like it because it is in an unexpected place and features mostly BC artists. It would be great to see more international work as well. Great gift shop, local artisans. Beautiful historic building. There administrative area was other well marked and we wandered upstairs by accident, were met with a bit of passive aggressive attitude from admin staff and a security guard, felt as if they thought we did it on purpose...anyway, they gotta get better signage!! Overall good quality of work in the gallery. Would live to see more aboriginal art featured!!

We visit the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria every year when we come in March. The a Asian collection is like no other, and the exhibits change. The Emily Carr exhibit is always a treat. The old mansion is beautiful and the gardens add to the special setting.

This gallery is partly in a historic home and a modern building. There is a traditional Shinto shrine to experience in a little garden. There is always an Emily Carr exhibit.

Apart from the well edited exhibits this was a great venue for our small wedding. Helpful staff and a beautiful setting make this a lovely small gallery.

The Exhibition this weekend was excellent! The emphasis this time is on Asian works. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, India, Thailand... you get the picture. As well as the permanent exhibit, always worth a walk-through.
