Dee LFood is of good quality and great quantity. There is a lunch special with which you get a a huge plate/bowl of fried rice or noodles and a drink of choice (milk tea, Chinese soup, or coffee) for around $11. Many different options available. A definite place to try for Chinese food!
Fee weeWhen I walked in I almost puked and the atomphosphere sucks and the food is even more disgusting. I would bet the restrooms toilet water would have more flavour the rice and food almost sued them for obliterating my tongue, stomach and my appetite
Dickson ChenGood lunch combo. Friendly service.
Heather MWe have been going to Shanghai Palace since the early 2000s and have always loved the food and the service. Since the new management / owners have purchased the place the food is okay, but what I find atrocious is the customer service. I am a half asian and I dont like I can understand cantonese, one day while waiting for my order I heard the staff bad talking in cantonese their Caucasian customers that were ordering and dining in. That made me thoroughly disgusted that they would talk about their customers like that. For example one gentlemen came in for take out and very kindly asked if he could have a lunch special item that he has had previously under the previous management. The male server taking the order asked another server (a lady who seemed like the boss) if that could be done in cantonese and she answered "tell him we are sold out of the item that he wants and have him pick off what we have on our lunch special menu, we dont want to spoil them with letting them have what they want". There were many others in the 10 minutes that I was waiting for my food but that comment stood out to me. I have been a couple times after and each time that same lady is there the service is not good. Careful if you are delayed in traffic picking up your take out order, she will call your home number and worry your family because you are 10 minutes late picking up the order and lie to your family that you are 1 hour late in picking up the order causing a mad chaos for your family to call you wondering if everything is alright! Overall the message is find another chinese food place, there are many that are around that are worth your patronage.
Christi HarterI have eaten lunch here twice in the past two months and will not return even though we live near this restaurant. Both times I have felt awful after eating here, indigestion, and the food was not very good either.
